Week Five

Wiki, wiki, wiki...that is what I'm doing and it is pretty fast! I have read about wikis before and watched a short video clip a couple of months ago but never actually set one up.

Wikis can be reliable and a valuable source of information if it was a serious wiki. Even for fun, it could be useful. It definitely could be a useful tool for internal use...sure would save alot of e-mailing back and forth amongst different staff members. It could be useful in planning a program or service in which one would like input from a number of people.

I added favorite pets, favorite restaurants and favorite music to the wiki. Got a little confused when doing the pet one (the first attempt)...somehow ended up doing a sidebar and then figured out how to add to the list. For the restaurant and music edit, it was very easy...just add content.

The wiki could be useful internally as well as externally if working on a collaboration in-house or soliciting comments from the community. It could also help build local content on current events that currently isn't all located in one place.

Well time to wiki out of here and catch a cat nap!

Congratulations, you've qualified for the 2nd biweekly drawing. We will announce the winner the week of 2/25.

Using wikis as an internal collaboration tool is a great idea. Emailing can definately get out of hand!

Remember, to be eligible for the 3rd biweekly drawing, be sure and finish weeks 6 and 7 before 3/10.
